Madhusmita Bora, Artistic Director
Madhusmita began dancing at the age of four, when she trained to perform in the local bhaonas in Assam. She later trained under Janaki Patrik in Kathak and was involved in many production in the New York area. She has now taken up her studying and performing the Sattriya dance under the guidance of Ramkrishna Talukdar and Gobinda Kalita Borbayan of Uttar Kamalabari Sattra.
Prerona Bhuyan, Artistic Director
Prerona Bhuyan has trained in Bharatnatyam from a tender age, under the inspiration of her mother Uma Rani Bharali. She has experimented with different dance forms, including contemporary and jazz. She feels particularly attracted to Sattriya and finds great artistic satisfaction in this dance form. She is studying Sattriya under the guidance of RamKrishna Talukdar.
Ramkrishna Talukdar, Advisor
Guru Ramkrishna Talukdar an accomplished teacher and performer of Sattriya is associated with Nartan Kala Niketa, an institution that grooms young dancers. He is involved with preserving the lesser known dance styles and music of Sattriya. His training in Kathak and his involvement with the contemporary classical dance world has enabled him to give Sattriya newer directions.
